Lloyd's birthday was on Tuesday, and
we spent most of the day at the zoo.

Nathan was not afraid of the goats at all.
When this one got in his face, he just slapped it away!

They loved watching the monkeys.

Nathan did great, but he couldn't quite make it
through the day without a little nap in the stroller.The penguins were Joanna's favorite.

When we got home, we realized we were
locked out of our house! (It was nobody's fault. ; )
Our neighbor let us borrow a ladder so Lloyd could break in.

A few minutes after we finally got in, two wonderful people showed up with the offer to babysit so we could go out to dinner, AND gave us money to pay for it! (Thanks Mom & Rachel!)

We took off before they changed their minds,
and went to Texas De Brazil. What a treat!

We finished up the day with cake and presents.

It was a bit of a challenge to blow out all 30 candles,
especially since some of them were trick candles. ; )

It was a long day, but a very fun day!

Joanna Turned 4 Yesterday!

She had a VERY Happy Birthday! We had family in town, and we went to All Aboard Diner.The kids loved seeing all the trains!They even had a train that brought your food from the kitchen.
Joanna got some dress-up clothes for her birthday.Aunt Joanna helped her put on the new jewelry with her
new pajamas, which she says is her "Princess Dress".

Trip to Myrtle Beach

We decided to leave our kids with Lloyd's parents last week
and take a vacation! We found a good price on tickets
with Spirit Airlines and flew to Myrtle Beach.

We got a great deal on a rental car through priceline. When we went to pick up our car, they offered us this for $5 more per day! That was one offer we couldn't pass up! : )

We also booked our hotel through priceline.
They gave us this resort for only $35 a night.
(The normal cost was $165 a night!)

We had a room on the eleventh floor with a great view!
This was the living room, and
the kitchen and bedroom were behind it.

The morning sun was beautiful, and
the sound of the waves was so relaxing.

This was our celebration of five years of marriage.
We went golfing together for the first time. Here is the pro!
